The seminar, held on 6–7 March 2012 at the Commodore Hotel in Beirut, examined the relationship between energy and industrial competitiveness. Sessions covered climate change, net metering, Lebanon’s energy outlook, wind and bioenergy, solar power, hydropower, waste-to-energy, industrial energy-efficiency standards, renewable-energy legislation and financing mechanisms for energy-efficiency projects.
The Ministry of Industry and Friedrich Ebert Foundation–Lebanon organized a two-day seminar on energy and industry, bringing together public officials, experts and industry representatives to discuss energy efficiency, renewable energy and financing.
