Minister of Industry Joe Issa El Khoury issued Decision No. 17/1 setting out the documents required to obtain or renew an industrial certificate and to obtain an industrial attestation for the import of machinery. The decision lists the application form, identification or work-permit documents, industrial or construction licensing documents, commercial or establishment records, proof of occupancy, and applicable insurance policies. For machinery-import attestations, applicants must also provide invoices and technical documentation identifying the equipment and its intended use; the administration may request additional information where necessary. The decision repeals conflicting provisions, except those relating to steam boilers, and takes effect upon issuance.
